ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI ESCAPE INJURY AFTER BEING HIT BY A SMOKE GRENADE

The Bayern star did return to the field of play however and scored twice late in the day to seal victory for Poland, with two goals.
A flare thrown from the stands had already burned a hole in the roof of one of the goal nets earlier in the evening, forcing the Slovenian official to interrupt the match for a first time.
And hooligans from both sets of supporters also found one another during the first half, leading to fighting in the stands.
Poland had taken a first-half lead thanks to Rennes winger Kamil Grosicki, who fired high into the roof of the net from an inside right position.
Lewandowski then stepped in to secure the result late on, netting a second eight minutes from time with a cool finish, before adding an injury time penalty.
